I this presentation we consider a 2-level variant of MetaML and give a translation (preserving the operational semantics) into this monadic metalanguage. The restriction to 2-level is motivated by two reasons:<br /> <br /> * the translation of the whole MetaML is not so clear (dealing with many levels appears clumsy)<br /> <br /> * a 2-level language allows to consider variants not compatible with multi-stage, such as having different computational effects at different levels.</div>
