In this talk we discuss a new project on network functions and software-defined networks in which we are creating a DSL based on the actor model for specifying networking applications. In prototyping this DSL we investigate the use of Eelco Visser's scope graphs as a mechanism for name binding in an effort to rapidly prototype an implementation.
